Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 31, 2025

Your privacy is critically important to us. Pulse is designed with your privacy in mind, focusing on providing a seamless experience without compromising your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how Pulse collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Pulse is built to operate locally on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following types of information:

Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect your name, email address, location data, IP address, device identifiers, or any other data that could identify you personally.

Usage Data: We do not track your app usage, activity within the app, or any data related to how you use your device or other applications.

System Data: Any system information you view through Pulse (e.g., CPU usage, memory status, disk space, network speeds, battery level) is processed exclusively on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third-party.

2. Information We Process (On-Device Only)

Pulse may access certain information on your local device solely for the purpose of providing its intended functionality. This processing occurs entirely on your device and this information is never transmitted externally:

System Metrics: To display real-time system statistics, Pulse reads CPU, memory, disk, network, and battery information using standard macOS system APIs. This data is used to update the app's interface and is processed locally.

User Preferences: Your settings (such as refresh interval, display mode, and alert thresholds) are stored locally on your device and are never shared.

3. Third-Party Services

Pulse does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not use third-party SDKs that collect user data.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Since Pulse does not collect or store any personal or usage data from your device, there is no data to retain or delete on our part. All processing is transient and local to your device. When you uninstall Pulse, any minimal, temporary configuration files stored on your device are removed by the operating system.

5. Children's Privacy

Pulse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete such information from our records.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
